What happens when creativity meets health, well-being and social inclusion? Join Culture Cares and explore how art can become a powerful tool for prevention, empowerment, mental health and positive well-being.
Work with real challenges, discover inspiring practices from across Europe, connect with artists and health professionals, and turn ideas into new tools for collaboration.
Art and creative activities can play a role in prevention, (mental) health, personal development, empowerment and inclusion, from a more holistic view of care and well-being. However, integrating these practices in the domain of health care and well-being (HC&WB) is still a challenge. Therefore, students will study cases from all participating countries and develop tools (in the broadest sense of the word) that support the mutual understanding and professional cooperation of artists and professionals working in HC&WB.
The 2nd. edition of Culture Cares BIP will bring this creative community to Barcelos, a UNESCO Creative City and a vibrant hub of crafts, creativity and cultural heritage, where artistic practices and community engagement can inspire new perspectives on health, well-being and social inclusion.
Also, Culture Cares wants students to learn and think about the challenges the European health care and well-being systems face and the role the arts can play in the transition from care to positive health, including marginalised groups that often have limited access to (positive) health care.
