Programme at a glance

Accelerate and Celebrate Your Entrepreneurship (in person)
09 Mar - 13 Mar 2026 :
NHL Stenden University Leeuwarden Netherlands
The program is a 5-day entrepreneurship accelerator designed to enhance students’ skills, knowledge, and mindset. Over five days, participants engage in three entrepreneurial journeys, transforming innovations into viable business ideas under high-pressure conditions. On the fourth day, organizational skills and creativity are tested as diverse groups pitch their ideas and compete in a final competition for recognition. On the fifth day, students will create a business operational approach.

Monday 9th of March: The Orientation Journey consists of three workshops exploring the essence of entrepreneurship and how it emerges. Students learn to identify products or services with market potential, focusing on impact, social improvement, and sustainability. This phase sharpens entrepreneurial intuition and helps uncover market opportunities through practical exercises like developing a “vision board” concept.

Tuesday 10th of March: The Pre-Start Journey features four intensive workshops focused on refining innovations. Students identify early adopters, clarify the problem their solution addresses, and test prototypes to make initial pivots based on customer needs. Participants may also work on their own ideas. After short pitches, the six most promising concepts are selected and formed into multidisciplinary teams of five.

Good to Know! Alongside the NHL Stenden undergraduate LEXS program, a separate postgraduate LEXS program organised by Technical University of the Shannon (TUS) will run simultaneously. On Tuesday afternoon, a third group of students will arrive for the Entrepreneurship Festival Hackathon. On Wednesday all groups will attend the plenarily high pressure Pitch Training.

Wednesday 11th of March: The start-up Journey focuses on determining whether the chosen innovation is viable for launching a business. Through four practical sessions, students learn how to connect innovation to the market, manage cash flow, and attract customers through sales, branding, and networking. The phase concludes with creating a pitch deck and delivering a pitch, essential for engaging investors, partners, and customers.

Thursday 12th of March: Thursday is the program’s Celebration Day, where all participating groups—the undergraduate accelerator students, postgraduate participants, and Hackathon students—come together for the Entrepreneurship Festival. The day is designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and impact. Students form multidisciplinary teams, refine their innovations, and prepare dynamic presentations.
The highlight is a Dragons’ Den-style pitch competition, where the best ideas are showcased on stage with high-energy performances to impress judges and the audience. The day concludes with winner announcements and a vibrant music festival celebrating entrepreneurial success.

Friday the 13th of March: Friday is the day to look back and reflect. They think about what they have been working on all week, and what this means for their future business. From here, students create a business operational approach. This is a concrete approach to launch the product or innovation on the market. This helps students to take the first step in launching their business as soon as they get home.
