The Ownership of Health Winterschool delves into health ownership's systemic, cultural, and technological dimensions. Each edition of the winterschool focuses on a locally important complex or wicked problem related to health ownership. The program integrates design, health innovation, and applied social sciences perspectives, offering a multidisciplinary, international learning experience. International teams work with stakeholder to tackle a challenging healthcare problem.
In this first edition of the winterschool, the focus is on vitamin B12 (B12) and its impacts on personal and community health. In international teams cultural beliefs including eating habits (B12 stems from animal-based food sources) as well as approaches towards health ownership will be explored. Knowledgeable, supportive counselling abilities will be developed. Concepts such as health autonomy, self-efficacy, and health literacy to empower individuals and communities will be developed.
Join us for this opportunity to work as a team with students from different countries. Participate in a hackathon format addressing a complex, “wicked” problem related to health ownership and learn how to foster ownership of health in a regional setting.
