This SAP, hosted by Polytechnic of Leiria and jointly organized with NHL Stenden, equips participants to understand and address interregional inequalities and regional challenges, by aligning policies, business strategies, and community practices with the SDGs, especially SDG 10. It starts with three online weeks focused on theory, analytical tools, and European case studies. The in-person week promotes interdisciplinary and multicultural collaboration, ending with practical proposals presented to a panel of experts. Assessment is based on online engagement, group work, and the final presentation.

Empowering Communities through Volunteering | SAP | 23 Mar – 11 May 2026 | Burgos, Spain (13–17 Apr) Join our Short-Advanced Programme to explore local and international volunteering, collaborate with NGOs and other local organizations, and design projects with real social impact. Participate in workshops on interculturality, communication, and conflict management, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and connect with the RUN-EU volunteering network. University students will gain hands-on experience and create meaningful initiatives, contributing to community wellbeing while boosting personal and professional growth .

In a rapidly changing world, the ability to imagine and communicate possible futures is essential. This COIL invites participants to explore scenario thinking and visualization techniques to develop and share inspirational futures. Through online collaboration, interdisciplinary teamwork, and tools like generative AI and augmented reality, students learn to turn complex ideas into engaging visual stories. Using scenario planning methods from NHL Stenden’s European Tourism Futures Institute (ETFI), they gain skills to envision and communicate future possibilities.

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) experience connecting student teams from the University of Burgos (Spain) and the Polytechnic University of Leiria (Portugal) within the RUN-EU alliance. Through accessible video game design, students engage in international peer exchange, intercultural dialogue and constructive, non-evaluative feedback. Video games are approached as cultural, social and inclusive digital tools that can promote accessibility, participation and well-being for people with hearing loss, while strengthening European values of inclusion, cooperation and diversity.

The Short Advanced Programme (SAP) Moot Court on EU Values, part of the EU Values Awareness strand in RUN-EU Work Package 5 – EMIC, aims to deepen understanding of mechanisms safeguarding EU values through the interactive Moot Court format. Legal instruments, rooted in the Union’s founding Treaties, are central to promoting these values and driving integration. The Treaties, other legislation, and European Court of Justice rulings have long underpinned economic integration grounded in democratic principles. Jointly coordinated by IPCA and NHL Stenden, this SAP includes an in-person week in Barcelos, Portugal.
