Dreaming of a Green Christmas: sustainable food tourism at winter markets - Sustainable food tourism at winter markets

How do we create meaningful, innovative and regenerative food and drink experiences in tourism?  In this BIP, participants will assume the role of professional advisors, aiming to enhance the meaningfulness, innovation, and regenerative qualities of food & drink experiences at winter markets.Expect a mixture of input from experts in the field, group work, problem solving tasks and reflection. During the F2F week you will go on field trip to the historical city centre of Bruges and Lille. This BIP is jointly coordinated by Howest, NHL Stenden and TUS and with Visit Kortrijk as an external stakeholder

Ethics & values in events, tourism & hospitality

Modern slavery, including forced labour and human trafficking, affects millions globally and demands urgent attention. While governments and international bodies are increasingly acknowledging the seriousness of the issue, many companies fail to address the risks adequately. This project prepares participants to become proactive global citizens by addressing modern slavery in various industries.  Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding through interdisciplinary collaboration, online sessions, and real-world case studies.

Serious Gaming for Business Resilience

Based on the design-based education (DBE) and design-based research (DBR) approach this BIP will introduce students to the complex challenges of organisational change and business resilience and how serious gaming methodology can help organisations deal with these challenges.

Successful AI-Driven Marketing and Product Innovation

This BIP combines AI-driven insights with hands-on learning, giving students a solid understanding of market analysis, customer insights, and creating impactful product concepts.Through online sessions and practical projects, participants sharpen their teamwork, research, ideation, and presentation skills—preparing them to innovate confidently in fast-paced business environments.
