In a rapidly changing world, the ability to imagine and communicate possible futures is essential. This COIL invites participants to explore scenario thinking and visualization techniques to develop and share inspirational futures. Through online collaboration, interdisciplinary teamwork, and tools like generative AI and augmented reality, students learn to turn complex ideas into engaging visual stories. Using scenario planning methods from NHL Stenden’s European Tourism Futures Institute (ETFI), they gain skills to envision and communicate future possibilities.

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) experience connecting student teams from the University of Burgos (Spain) and the Polytechnic University of Leiria (Portugal) within the RUN-EU alliance. Video games are approached as cultural, social and inclusive digital tools that can promote accessibility, participation and well-being for people with hearing loss, while strengthening European values of inclusion, cooperation and diversity.
