This SAP, hosted by Polytechnic of Leiria and jointly organized with NHL Stenden, equips participants to understand and address interregional inequalities and regional challenges, by aligning policies, business strategies, and community practices with the SDGs, especially SDG 10. It starts with three online weeks focused on theory, analytical tools, and European case studies. The in-person week promotes interdisciplinary and multicultural collaboration, ending with practical proposals presented to a panel of experts. Assessment is based on online engagement, group work, and the final presentation.
Diversity and social inclusion are important topics on the European agenda. Social diversity is not only a given, but also something to celebrate. Therefore, we offer our students possibilities to explore its values and challenges and provide them with skills and opportunities to develop activities and interventions that address these challenges within their own university contexts.
Art activities can play a role in prevention, (mental) health, personal development, empowerment and social inclusion. However, integrating these practices in the domain of health care and well-being is still a challenge. Students will study the challenges European health care and well-being systems face and study cases and develop interventions that address and support mutual understanding between professionals and artists.Photograph: Performance scene of ‘Momentum’ of Dance Company Leefmeester.
